How Transfers Work
- 1. Buyer inquiry. The buyer submits a purchase or offer through the domain's listing page.
- 2. Agreement. Buyer and seller agree on price and terms. WashNames facilitates the conversation and, on brokered deals, negotiates on the seller's behalf.
- 3. Escrow. Payment is placed in a trusted third-party domain escrow provider. Funds are held until the transfer is verified complete.
- 4. Domain push or transfer. The seller initiates a registrar push (fastest) or a standard transfer with an auth code.
- 5. Release. Once the buyer confirms ownership, escrow releases funds to the seller.
WashNames never takes custody of the domain or funds. All transactions run through the escrow provider agreed between the buyer and seller.
